Iskrateling, the manufacturer of telecommunications equipment, has signed a deal with the Kazakhstan railway utility on modernising its telecoms infrastructure. The deal is worth US$ 1.1m, the company said in a press release on Tuesday, 12 October.

Iskrateling contracted to build a new telephone exchange, applications for audio and video conference communication and the ISDN terminal equipment. The company will also train the utility's workers.

The company says it is proud of beating fierce competition of big multinationals competing for the deal, and highlights that the contract was a result of two years of intensive cooperation with the client.

Moreover, Iskrateling has already done a lot of business with the Russian railway utility, which has also helped them to get the business in Kazakhstan, the Kranj-based company also said in a press release.
