The government has drafted a decree on the sale of state property in 2006 and 2007, determining that assets worth SIT 3.73bn (EUR 15.6m) would be sold in 2006 and property worth SIT 407m (EUR 1.7m) the following year, the Finance Ministry reported on Friday, 30 September.

According to law, such a decree must accompany the budget bills to parliament; the budget bills for 2006 and 2007 were confirmed by the government at a correspondence session on Thursday, 29 September.

The Finance Ministry noted that only assets which could feasibly be sold in the respective years have been included in the decree.

The government also confirmed the plan for construction and purchases for the two years, earmarking SIT 31.7bn (EUR 132.3m) and SIT 15.6bn (EUR 65.1m) for the two years respectively.

The money will be used for purchases and construction for all budget users except for the ministries of defence and the interior, as well as the Intelligence and Security Agency.
