Viator&Vektor and its Transped subsidy from Novi Sad signed the purchase agreement on the acquisition of Vrsac-based Hemofarm Transport in spedicija
The Ljubljana-based logistics company Viator&Vektor has acquired a transport company in Serbia-Montenegro, the company said in a press release on Tuesday, 20 September.
Viator&Vektor and its Transped subsidy from Novi Sad signed the purchase agreement on the acquisition of Vrsac-based Hemofarm Transport in spedicija on 19 September.
The EUR 3.3m deal will allow the Slovenian company to expand its services in the region, as well as make it the exclusive provider of logistics services for the entire Hemofarm group for the next eight years, starting on 1 October.
The Hemofarm group is the largest pharmaceutical company in the region. On signing the agreement, its chairman president Miodrag Babic stressed that the agreement creates growth and development opportunities for both companies, at home as well as abroad.
Social security for 37 employees of the Hemofarm transport in spedicija company is also guaranteed and their status will not change, Babic added.
The Hemofarm logistics arm was previously owned by the pharma group Hemofarm. Its core business was carrying out transport, vehicle maintenance and haulage services for its parent company.
