Intereuropa revenue and profit down
The group's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) were at EUR 3.02 million, 3% lower than in the first quarter of 2019. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were down 12% to EUR 1.14 million, while net profit dropped 36% to EUR 515,000.
Land cargo revenue was down by 3% to just under EUR 20 million, while revenue from intercontinental transport dropped 7% to EUR 10.2 million. The only segment to increase revenue was logistical services, which gained 2% to EUR 6.6 million.
By country, revenue generated in Slovenia was down 8% to EUR 25.9 million, while in Bosnia-Herzegovina it dropped 2% to EUR 1.7 million, and in Montenegro by 12% to EUR 1.2 million.
Revenue increase were registered in Croatia, where it grew by 1% to EUR 5.8 million, Serbia (+72% to EUR 1.4 million) and Ukraine (+62% to EUR 1.2 million).
Intereuropa was acquired by national postal operator Pošta Slovenije last year.
