Delo reports seed producer Semenarna taken over by Serbia's Agromarket

Ljubljana, 11 February (STA) - Semenarna, the biggest seed producer in the country, has reportedly been sold to the Serbian Dušan Mojsilović businessman and his Agromarket company, which will make the latter one of the biggest seed producers and sellers in the region.

According to a report published on the website of Slovenian daily paper Delo on Tuesday, Mojsilović unofficially paid EUR 5.5 million for Semenarna along with the claims held by Bank Assets Management Company (BAMC), the bad bank.

Semenarna, which also sells other gardening products and accessories, had been acquired by the bank Deželna banka Slovenije (DBS), a small private bank, in 2013. Delo reports DBS will get roughly EUR 2 million for Semenarna.

According to the latest publicly accessible data, Semenarna generated EUR 25 million in sales revenue in 2018 and posted an net profit of EUR 544,000.
