Membership in International Organisations

The Furniture and Wood Processing Association is as an affiliated member actively involved in several European wood processing associations. Listed below are producers´ associations which bring together the manufacturers in individual wood processing industries sharing common goals and interests:

               

The umbrella organization of the entire European wood processing industry is the C.E.I. BOIS  - the European Confederation of Woodworking Industries, affiliated members of which can only be member states of the European Union, Norway, Switzerland and Slovenia (since 1995), while some other European countries are its associated members.

     

FEMYB - The European Federation of Building Joinery Associations brings together the manufacturers of building joinery. Through the CCIS-Wood Processing Association, Slovenian manufacturers have been its affiliates since 1990.

     

FEIC - the European Federation of Plywood Industry. Through the CCIS-Wood Processing Association, two Slovenian plywood manufacturers have been its affiliates since 1995. Membership in this affiliation provides direct access to up-to-date information on the conditions and trends in the manufacture of plywood.

     

FEYSP - The European Federation of Associations of Particleboard Manufacturers. This federation maintains the most frequent contacts with its members through the exchange of information on current conditions and trading activities in the manufacture of particleboard.
