Slovenian wood manufacturers are net exporters. In 2006 direct exports of the Slovenian wood-processing&furniture industry (DD 20 and DN 36.1 - manufacture of furniture) amounted to EUR 625 million and the imports to EUR 295 million.
The top ten exporting countries for the Slovenian wood processing industry in the year 2006 include: Italy, Germany, Croatia, Austria, USA, Great Britain, France, Scwitzerland, Bosnia&Hercegovina, Sweden.

Among the most important economic groups taking part in the exchange of goods in the wood-processing&furniture industry are the following: EU member states, states of former Yugoslavia, non-European member states of OECD, EFTA countries and other European countries ina development (including DD 20 and DN 36.1).
The top ten importing countries for the Slovenian wood processing industry in the year 2005 were the following: Italy, Germany, Austria, Croatia, , Bosnia and Hercegovina, Slovakia, Serbia, Hungary, Schwitzerland and Czech Republic.
