Textile, Clothing and Leather Processing Industry

WE ARE ACTIVE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

bipartite social dialogue with the representative trade union
shaping conditions for boosting the cutting edge of the textile, clothing and leather-processing industry,
promotion of the textile, clothing and leather-processing industry
preparation of education/training programmes designed to recruit and train human resources for the textile, clothing and leather-processing industry

OUR PRIORITY TASKS ARE:

Participation with companies and co-ordination in the course of collective bargaining and the preparation of the collective agreement for the industry and making its positions known with the aim to facilitate the role of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia in tripartite social dialogue.
Keeping abreast of changes in Slovenian and European legislation and informing members of relevant legislative novelties.
In the area of education and training for occupations in this industry, the interaction of the Association with the Centre for vocational education and educational institutions is at the forefront. The topics include overhaul of education/training programmes and re-training programmes.
Informing members of the association about the situation in foreign markets, potential business partners, customs data, and economic policy.
Informing members of Slovenian and EU research projects and member collaboration on joint projects.
The Association gives a helping hand also when it comes to projects proposed by individual members.
At the forefront there is also participation with Irspin, Industrial development centre of Slovenian spinning industry in its role of a significant reproduction link between Slovenian companies, research institutions and universities in research and development activities.
