WE ARE ACTIVE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
- The Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS) is a representative chamber and it is a promoter of the development of trade and supporting activities, and it has proven to be a competitive Chamber since it has been successfully advocating interests of its members at the national and international level.
- The Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS) holds a public mandate for carrying out tasks of social partners in the area of vocational and occupational education in the area of trading activities
- The Section of Slovenian Franchise Companies (member of the European Franchise Federation - EFF, World Franchise Council)
- The ADS Section of passenger vehicles (member of the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association - ACEA)
- The Section for Direct Selling (member of Federation of European Direct Selling Associations - FEDSA, World Federation of Direct Selling Associations - WFDSA)
- The Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS) has established its educational academy- AKADEMIJA TZS
OUR PRIORITY OBJECTIVES ARE:
The Slovenian Chamber of Commerce carries out autonomously for its members the tasks and advocates their interests as laid down in the Chambers of Commerce and Industry Act. The Chamber is the umbrella organisation of retail and whole trade playing a key-note role in effort to specify conditions for the provision of retail and wholesale trade activity in the national and in the foreign markets.
The Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS) is an independent, voluntary, interest-based and not-for-profit association of legal persons and individuals who mostly engage autonomously in the market in commercial trade, production and service activity.
The Chamber caters for quality development and successful operations of the retail and wholesale trade operations in the national, regional and international competitive environment.

PERMANENT PROFESSIONAL TASKS
- Representation of interests of its members before government bodies and within the framework of international associations in shaping internationally comparable trade-governing and trade-related legislation producing impact on the global development of retail and wholesale trade activity;
- Consultancy service and legal assistance to the members of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS) within the framework of the professional service of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS) and should it be necessary of other outsourced experts, included in partner programmes of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS);
- Current carrying out of professional tasks through the activities of the Board of Directors, commissions/committees, sections, working and project groups of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS);
- Defining the positions and proposals to draft legislation that fall within the area of the economic system and economic policy in the pipeline being relevant to the retail and wholesale business;
- Participation in and championing interests of the members in negotiations for regarding the collective agreement for the retail and wholesale trade, in the Economic and Social Council (ESS), and addressing the issues and measure referring to economic and social policy, and other areas having impact on the content of the area of collective bargaining between social partners (social agreement, social rights and rights arising from compulsory social insurance, the issues related to employment and industrial relations, prices and taxes, …);
- Participation in and advocating interests of its members in expert councils of ministries and other institutions (Expert Council within the framework of the Office for Consumer Protection, boards/committees and working groups for the food, non-food, and the environment-protection area);
- The adoption of customary practice where packaging is taken back to the store and accepted and the related changes in the price list, the rules for seasonal sales of textile and footwear, the rules on rates applicable to ordinary inventory write offs (ullage, dissipation, breaking up, fault);
- The preparation of the analysis of operations of trade companies on the basis of the data compiled by the AJPES and illustrations with current comparisons in trade drawn up on the basis of statistical data (revenues earned by groups of goods in retail and in wholesale trade, payroll, employees, prices …);
- The 36th issue of the bulletin »T – Information« - the annual publication for the members and the up-to-date publication of the most interesting topics on the website of the Chamber: www.tzslo.si;
- Carrying out public mandates (authorisations) granted by the government to the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS) for carrying out tasks of the social partners in the area of vocational and occupational education in the area of retail and wholesale activities);
- The organisation of education and professional training in accordance with the vested interests of its members (presentations of legislation changes/novelties are organised in collaboration with competent ministries and inspection bodies, other current matters are presented by outsourcing experts, which are included in partner programmes of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS);
- The provision of advantages to its members through the partner programme of Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (TZS): value-for-money (also free-of-charge) consultancy service in the area of accountancy and finance, low bank fees and charges, insurance services, advantages in advising about and purchase of equipment in the area of security for stores and offices, discounts on medical check-ups and services, advantages when paying a visit to trade shows and expos in Slovenia and across Slovenia’s borders…
