Construction
The construction sector (F 45 according to the Standard Classification of Activities NACE-Rev.1 or F41, 42 and 43 to SCA NACE Rev. 2) is an activity comprising site preparatory works, building construction and civil engineering works, mounting building installations and finishing construction works. Counted among them new site constructions, renovation and maintenance works and repairs.
Slovenian construction companies are qualified for the most demanding projects in the construction industry (tunnels, bridges, power supply buildings, demanding building construction).

Building materials industry
The building materials industry (C 14.1-2, DI 26.4-7 according to the SCA, NACE-Rev.1 or 08.11, 08.12, 23.32, 23.5, 23.6 and 23,7 to the SCA NACE Rev. 2)) is an activity which produces all kinds of stone aggregates for construction (gravel and sand), natural stone, limestone, as well as the manufacture of bricks, roof tiles, cement, fibre cement products, lime (burnt, slaked, hydraulic), plaster, concrete mixtures and concrete products (pre-stressed concrete elements, various concrete products), mortar and processed natural stone from domestic and imported stone.
