WE ARE ACTIVE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

Membership of the Chamber of Construction and Building Materials Industry (ZGIGM - CCBMIS) that operates within the framework of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS - CCIS) is voluntary. Membership of the Chamber is open to businesses (companies and sole proprietors) that engage in the activities listed below defined in the Standard Classification of Activities 2008:

 

  1. Residential and commercial property development - construction of buildings  (F 41), civil engineering (F 42), specialised construction works (F 43) such as demolition of buildings and other structures, installations for newly built buildings and structures, finishing works in construction industry. The activities include both new property development and also re-development, i.e. adaptation and maintenance works and repairs.
  2. As regards  the economic activity: construction materials industry including quarrying for all kinds of crushed stone for civil engineering and construction works (aggregate/gravel and sand), quarrying of stone, sand and clay (08.1), as well as manufacture of bricks and roof tiles (23.32), manufacture of cement, lime and plaster products (23.5), manufacture of articles of concrete cement and plaster and all kinds of products in concrete (23.6) and cutting, shaping and finishing of stone (23.7).
  3. Membership of the CCBMIS is open also to companies and sole proprietors from other activities related to construction and the building materials industry, as well as entities having interest to make their voice heard in the CCBMIS.

 

CCIS Chamber of Construction and Building Materials Industry serves as a meeting point for its members - enterprises and sole proprietors – where they join forces and champion their common interests and make their voice heard in the areas of vital interest for its members that fall within the scope of civil engineering and construction, as well as the building materials industry, in relations to government bodies, trade unions, bodies and institutions of the European Union, European umbrella associations in civil engineering and construction (European Construction Industry Federation - FIEC and the Council of European Producers of Materials for Construction - CEPMC) and other partners in formulating and implementing economic policy, legislation and conditions conducive to the functioning of the economic system.

 

OUR PRIORITY OBJECTIVES ARE:

  • Alignment and realisation of common interests of its members
  • Basic  infrastructure for networking and co-operation among companies that share common interests
  • Representation of vested interests of its members and interaction with the relevant EU bodies mostly via membership of European industry associations (FIEC - Construction Industry Federation, CEPMC- Council of European Producers of Materials for Construction)
  • Representation of interests of its members in the specific area of legislation and policies in  the Republic of Slovenia
  • Development of the construction industry and profession to high quality standards
  • To create common industry objectives and to assist members in achieving the set objectives
  • To lead social dialogue at the industry level in Slovenia
  • To participate in shaping vocational education and training for the civil engineering and construction industry
  • High quality and on-going industry information dissemination and consultancy service
  • Organisation of conferences, workshops, seminars, conventions, etc. with the aim to tap into and transfer new knowledge
  • Organisation of a part of exams for building site managers and preparation for the exams (within the framework of the public mandate) that qualify successful candidates to be in charge of a building site, i.e. of civil engineering or construction works
  • Drawing up and preparation of Slovenian norms for civil engineering and construction works
  • In-depth customised consultancy service in the area of civil engineering and construction and expert assistance is specific areas
  • Calculation of indices of difference in prices of building services including advising and summary calculations
  • Potential for activities of the sections and other narrower forms of teaming up of members within the framework of the Chamber
  • Offering facilities for staging business and other events at the highest level and with wide audience
  • Participation in national and EU projects.
