Ljubljana, 25 January (STA) - Soft drinks maker Radenska tops the list
of most popular brands in Slovenia in 2011, according to the second annual
survey conducted by the Si.Brand consumer association. Following Radenska
on the top 50 list of brands by consumers' choice were Fructal fruit drinks
and the tea brand 1001 cvet.
Also among the top ten brands were retailers Spar and Mercator, Paloma
tissues, Gorenjka chocolate, Adidas sportswear, Coca Cola and Kras meat
products, the consumer association wrote in a press release on
Wednesday.
According to Si.Brand, the popularity of state-owned
companies is decreasing. This can be seen from the NLB bank and railway
operator Slovenske železnice falling considerably on the list, while flag
carrier Adria Airways and airport operator Aerodrom Ljubljana even lost
their places among the top 50 brands.
A falling trend in popularity
is also evident among financial institutions, the press release
notes.
The survey was conducted between 28 February and 10 December
2011 on the internet and in the field among 1,102 respondents, who answered
questions related to their knowledge about the brands, as well as
popularity, likeability and functionality of the brands.
To enable
comparison with previous results, the questionnaire and the rating system
remain the same.
In the 2010 survey, the most popular brands were
Fructal, Paloma and Radenska.
