Ljubljana, 06 January (STA) - A total of 675 receivership proceedings
were launched in Slovenia in 2011, which is almost a third more than in the
year before. The number of court-mandated debt restructuring and
liquidation proceedings rose by 17% to 42, according to the Agency for
Public Legal Records and Related Services (AJPES).
Of the 675 receiverships, 577 were initiated over companies and
cooperatives, and 93 were over sole proprietors, AJPES said in a press
release on Friday.
The highest number of receivership proceedings
started in March and June (68 and 67, respectively), while there were only
37 in December. In 2010, the months with the most receiverships were March,
October and December.
In 2011, 398 business entities were deleted
from the business register due to receivership, most of which were
companies and cooperatives. In the year before, 291 businesses were removed
from the register.
