Ljubljana, 09 January (STA) - Slovenia exported EUR 1.83bn worth of
goods in November 2011, which is up 9% year-on-year, while imports rose
3.4% to EUR 1.95bn, according to preliminary data released by the
Statistics Office on Monday.
The export-to-import ratio last November stood at 94.2%, with the
deficit standing at EUR 120m.
Goods exported to EU member states were
worth EUR 1.33bn, which represented 72.5% of total exports. Imports from
the EU meanwhile amounted to EUR 1.51bn, or 77.1% of total
imports.
Slovenia exported EUR 506.2m worth of goods to third
countries and imported EUR 446.6m from there.
In the first eleven
months of 2011, Slovenia exported EUR 18.92bn worth of goods, up 12.8%
year-on-year, while importing EUR 20.32bn or 11.9% more than in the same
period in 2010.
In the mentioned period, exports covered 93.1% of
imports, with deficit standing at EUR 1.4bn.
