In a common research project between Iskra Avtoelektrika and the University of Ljubljana numerical and experimental friction evaluation at combined backward can – forward rod cold extrusion has been performed. Results are showing remarkable differences between friction factors when using lubricants as soap or MoS2 related to the surface expansion or heat generation.
